Inside the Most Exciting Rover Launch Event at Gorai Beach

Since the beginning, every STEM toy and robotics kit that we put out here has followed the same path when it came to launch promotion, pre-launch online announcement, Social media campaigns, Digital ADs, and it worked well; our posts and ads reached people and told our story.

But it always felt like something was missing for these campaigns.

At Blix, we believe in hands-on learning. Our products are designed in a way that children can build, experiment, and understand real-world concepts. But when it came to our product launches, we felt we were not offering the same experience.

So, when the Rover was in development, there was one question that constantly lingered on.

If our products are meant to be experienced, shouldn’t our launches be the same?

This is when we decided to try something different for this launch.

From Ideology to Execution

The idea going forward was simple: launch the Blix Rover in a way that people can have a hands-on experience before they buy it.

After multiple scrapped ideas, we finalized on one: An offline public event to launch the product. But the location was still not decided. The place needed to reflect the theme of our product: track movement, exploration, and adventure.

The BLIX team brought this idea to life at the Beach House, Gorai, making it one of the most collaborative efforts in our journey.

The entire day was structured in a way that it balanced both experience and interaction. As this is our first offline launch, we kept the guest list limited to around 30 people, which included parents, children, and influencers.

These guests thought they were here to just witness the reveal of the product, but little did they know what we had planned for them.

The Beach Experience

For us, the day began long before the guests arrived

Our team was on-site since morning, setting up and making sure everything was prepared. When the clock hit 5 PM, and the guests started arriving, the venue slowly started to turn into a space full of anticipation.

People were interacting with each other, kids with similar hobbies interest engagin in fun conversations withing that, everyone eventually settled in. To get everyone charged up, we kicked things off with a fun, energetic warm-up session that got everyone moving and smiling.

Once the energy was set too high, our founder, Abbas Gabajiwala, took the stage and spoke directly to parents, asked them questions about their toy preferences and what their kids like and dislike when it comes to toys, and genuinely listened.

Then it was time for the thing everyone was waiting for.

The BLIX Rover was unveiled with the first surprise of the day.

The kids were handed one kit of the RC rover Toy to build and experience. What followed was even better: kids and parents started building the model together, excited to finish it and drive it around the beach.

And just when they thought the experience was over, we added one more surprise.

They got to keep the Rover.

After the Sunset

As the sun set over Gorai Beach, there was a shared feeling among all of us. Excitement, relief, and a sense of achievement.

This was Blix’s first time launching a product offline. Naturally, there were nerves and doubts, but what unfolded throughout the event turned out to be better than we expected.

Watching parents and kids participate in the event together was the best highlight of it all. The feedback made it even more meaningful. Some parents saw it as the perfect birthday gift for kids, while others were amazed by how engaging an educational RC toy could be.

Moving forward, we don’t just want to show our products on the internet; we want people to experience them.

And this product launch was the beginning of that vision.
