We're Taking the Blix Crawler to the Next Level...Can You Guess How?
We launched the Blix Crawler 3 years ago with the idea to give kids the means to build walking bots and understand the mechanism behind those movements. With the crawler, kids have the option to build 8 motorized models and learn about the mechanisms of two- and four-legged bots.
Honestly speaking, it was never one of our best-selling products, but it had potential. Because the ones who engaged with it had an amazing experience, and that raised a question:
How can we make this construction toy better and connect with all audiences?
So, our conclusion was that the crawler needed a little boost for our customers to understand its potential. And recently, some feedback we got from our distributors gave us exactly the idea we were looking for.
Blix Crawler Unlocked A New Ability
The crawler is a motorized building toy, so users can switch the motor on and watch it walk.
It sounds a little passive, doesn’t it? And that is what we are totally against.
What if they wanted it to stop? What if they wanted it to turn left, right, or change direction whenever they wanted? Surely, turning the motor on and off was not going to get the job done.
The feedback we got from our distributors was "Kids want more RC toys." And we got our answer. This DIY Building Kit should be completely remote-controlled. We already had the components required to make it happen; all we had to do was integrate it into the crawler. But we did not want it to look just like an attachment. We turned this idea into a completely new product: The RC Crawler!
But that's not all.
The RC Crawler will now feature six-legged models, giving an entirely new walking mechanism and experience to this engineering toy, along with new models and more unique mechanisms. And while the old crawler had a multicolour design, this RC Stem toy will carry a bold 2-colour combination of green and black.
When Will The RC Crawler Be Available?
The RC Crawler is currently in the development phase, and we're working on bringing the final product together. It will be available in stores and on our website in the coming months.
