Real Parent Stories: How Blix Kits Helped My Child Learn

STEM education is not just a classroom concept that teachers throw around. It represents education through hands-on learning. Today, STEM educational toys and robotics products are helping kids move beyond just memorising and into creative thinking, experimentation and problem solving.

As one of the leading Stem toys manufacturers in India, our toys are designed to help children build, test, question, learn and improve. And we always take feedback from our customers seriously, and when it comes from children themselves, we take it very, very seriously.

How Does a 7-Year-Old Inspire Innovation?

A few months back, we received an email and attached to it was a handwritten letter with a tiny sketch and a brilliant idea from a 7-year old boy named Atharv. In that letter, he suggested adding a Y-shaped split path to our Marble Run-2 set.

He even drew it out, and at the end of his letter, he wrote: “Then my marbles can go two way and it will be super fun!”

When our founder read the letter, he couldn’t stop smiling. You know that feeling when something just hits you right in the heart? That is exactly what the joy of making toys is. Watching children dream up worlds that don’t exist yet… and then helping bring them to life.

What was the story that we received?

Atharv’s father shared a story that stayed with us. He told us that his son had spent countless hours building and experimenting with different designs, rebuilding his favourite structure and exploring different possibilities. When Atharv told his father about his idea, he encouraged him to write to us.

But what Atharv didn’t know was that the moment we received his letter, our design lab had already started building something special for him.

What Happens When Children Are Free to Experiment?

When a child has the freedom to think, create, and execute, their minds shift from passive entertainment to active play and learning. Playing with STEM educational toys makes them analyse builds they work on, asking questions like “Why does this work like this?” “Can this work differently?”

The Y-shaped idea was not random; it was the result of a mind nurtured through educational toys for kids. Because when children are free to experiment, they don't just follow; they create.

How Did We Bring This Young Builder’s Idea to Life?

The moment we all looked at Atharv’s letter, we knew we had to do something about this. So, without wasting a second, our development team jumped on a call, reviewed and analysed his sketch and began building a functional Y-shaped split path piece for him.

We 3D printed a prototype of the piece, but something was missing. We needed one more hinge-like piece to direct the marbles to their paths, which led us to create a splitter. Soon, we were able to send him a fully functional piece of the design he had imagined.

Sometimes innovation doesn’t just come from meetings and whiteboards. It comes in the form of a sketch made with a red marker.
