What’s the big deal?

Blix-A-Thon is all about robotics. But not in a dull, technical way. It’s about pushing your brain. Potentially your skills and maybe your patience too.

It’s three days of intense learning. More than that, experimenting and competing. Participants will actually be handed custom robotics kits by Blix. The kit will be packed with everything needed to build what the participant wants to. It can either be something useful, or just something cool.

The challenge? Take those components and create a bot that can run well on Arenas.

But remember, every creation has to prove itself.

Breaking down the three days

1. Day 1

The first day sets the tone. Teams will gather. You all will get introduced to the kits. And the brainstorming will begin.

This is where the excitement kicks in. Ideas will fly around in your mind. You will solely figure out what you want to build and how they’ll pull it off. But remember - the day will not be how strong you start, but how better you are able to plan for the future.

2. Day 2

This is where the real action will begin. Teams will headfirst into their projects. They will assemble and test it on arena. Some things will work; most won’t.

There’s a lot of trial and error, frustration, and late breakthroughs that would happen. By the end of the day, the prototypes will start taking shape. This is where your grind would pay off. In the same day you will start your qualifying rounds.

3. Day 3

The final day is all about proving your mettle.

Robots will be put to the test. Can they perform the tasks they were built for? Can they handle the pressure? Teams will showcase their creations. They will explain their thought process. And compete for the top spot.
